Platinum Jubilee
From 2-5 June there is a bank holiday weekend in the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, meaning that she has been on the throne for 70 years. My feeling is that whether British people are in favour of the monarchy or not, there is a lot of affection for the Queen and her dedication to the role over such a long time. In any case there will be a lot of celebration and pageantry over the next four-day weekend. So, get the bunting out, start a street party and click on the Queen’s picture below to see how much of a (British) royalist you are!
