I read this news feature the other day and it made me think about the fact that I have never lived alone. I have always shared accomodation with other people, learning (I hope) the importance of compromise and considering the preferences and feelings of others in a shared living space. However, it is hard to truly free your mind and choose not to be slightly annoyed by – using a certain anonymous person in my household as an example – habits such as leaving packets of biscuits and snacks open to go stale and ‘unconventional’ stacking of the dishwasher. But, I suppose the important thing is to recognise that other person’s equal right to be irritated by my own less-than-ideal habits of hanging wet towels on the chair in the bedroom and forgetting to water the houseplants 🙂 Why not check out our new household vocabulary quiz by clicking on the picture!
