All the <strong>main sights<\/strong> in Rome are quite close together so we walked everywhere, dodging through enormous <strong>crowds of tourists<\/strong> and trying to arrive everywhere as early as possible to <strong>avoid queuing<\/strong>. I was at least grateful for Google maps, which was a great substitute for my terrible sense of direction in the <strong>narrow streets<\/strong> of Rome&#8217;s old town, saving us quite a few kilometres!
