Los foros son sesiones de dos horas de discusi\u00f3n a las cuales cualquier profesor de King\u00b4s Training puede acudir y aportar ideas para el coloquio y debate sobre la metodolog\u00eda y pr\u00e1ctica de la formaci\u00f3n ling\u00fc\u00edstica. La idea de este programa es doble:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ofrecer una plataforma a nuestros profesores en la que expresar sus ideas, compartir consejos y buenas pr\u00e1cticas en un formato informal de mesa redonda.<\/li>\n<li>Compartir la informaci\u00f3n recogida de los foros de forma documental con todos nuestros profesores para ayudarnos a promover una cultura de intercambio de conocimientos e inter\u00e9s profesional en el campo de ense\u00f1anza del idioma.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Las primeras dos sesiones (cada una con dos horas de duraci\u00f3n) fueron un \u00e9xito. Aqu\u00ed una lista resumida de los temas que se abordaron:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C\u00f3mo tratar las <strong>diferencias en las habilidades ling\u00fc\u00edsticas dentro de los grupos: <\/strong>ajustando la dificultad de las actividades, cambiando el dinamismo de la clase, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Equilibrar la necesidad de impartir <strong>clases altamente comunicativas en contenido <\/strong>(fundamental para la metodolog\u00eda de King\u00b4s Training) con el deseo de tener programas estructurados que incorporan <strong>evaluaciones de progreso. <\/strong>Hablamos sobre diferentes formas de adaptar los programas a las necesidades de los estudiantes dentro de las directrices del enfoque de King\u00b4s Training.<\/li>\n<li>Adaptar <strong>libros de texto <\/strong>de ingl\u00e9s para encajar con las necesidades individuales de los estudiantes, sin olvidar las necesidades pr\u00e1cticas de la gran mayor\u00eda para desarrollar las habilidades efectivas de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li>C\u00f3mo ense\u00f1ar aspectos \u201ctradicionales\u201d del idioma como la gram\u00e1tica<strong> de forma din\u00e1mica y comunicativa <\/strong>de manera que los alumnos respondan bien.<\/li>\n<li>Usar opiniones de los estudiantes, experiencias y su propio discurso como material de las clases \u00a1para hacer el aprendizaje <strong>lo m\u00e1s relevante posible! <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>conseguir <strong>\u2018feedback\u2019 de calidad de los estudiantes <\/strong>sobre su experiencia de aprendizaje para ayudar a dar forma al programa y asegurar que est\u00e9n <strong>involucrados en la planificaci\u00f3n de su propio aprendizaje.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>C\u00f3mo ayudar a los estudiantes <strong>a recordar nuevo lenguaje <\/strong>a trav\u00e9s del reciclaje y <strong>t\u00e9cnicas nemot\u00e9cnicas.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Como <strong>corregir los errores del estudiante <\/strong>de manera que se optimice el aprendizaje.<\/li>\n<li>Actitudes modernas hacia t\u00e9cnicas de ense\u00f1anza \u2018tradicionales\u2019 como <strong>la repetici\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Cu\u00e1ndo ense\u00f1ar <strong>pronunciaci\u00f3n, <\/strong>y cu\u00e1ndo no.<\/li>\n<li>Utilizar el <strong>primer idioma <\/strong>de los estudiantes y <strong>traducci\u00f3n <\/strong>en clase.<\/li>\n<li>Las exigencias de las clases \u201cingl\u00e9s general\u201d <strong>EFL (Ingl\u00e9s como idioma extranjero) <\/strong>contra las clases con caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s espec\u00edficas de clases <strong>ESP (Ingl\u00e9s para prop\u00f3sitos especiales) <\/strong>las cuales se pueden encontrar con facilidad en muchas clases \u201cbusiness\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En fin, en pocas horas hemos podido hablar de muchos asuntos realmente importantes para nuestro particular campo de la educaci\u00f3n y abordar muchas ideas pr\u00e1cticas las cuales ayudar\u00e1n a mantener y mejorar nuestro servicio para los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. \u00a1El siguiente foro est\u00e1 planeado para principios de junio y estamos deseando empezar un nuevo debate!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/virtualcampus.kingstraining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Aug-newsletter.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3600\" src=\"https:\/\/virtualcampus.kingstraining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Aug-newsletter-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/virtualcampus.kingstraining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Aug-newsletter-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/virtualcampus.kingstraining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Aug-newsletter.jpg 343w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>King\u2019s Training Teacher Forums (English version)<\/h3>\n<p>At KT Last week we held the first two sessions of our complementary staff training programme, the Teacher Forums.\u00a0 The forums are two-hour discussion sessions which any KT teachers can attend and to which they contribute ideas for conversation and debate concerning language training methodology and practice.\u00a0 The idea of this programme is two-fold:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To give our teaching staff a platform to express their ideas, share advice and good practice in an informal \u2018round-table\u2019 discussion format.<\/li>\n<li>To share the information gathered from the forums in documentary form with all of our teachers to help us promote a culture of knowledge sharing and professional interest in the field of language teaching.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The first two sessions (each one two hours long) were a great success.\u00a0 Here is a summarised list of the topics that came up:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to deal with <strong>differences in language abilities within groups<\/strong>: adjusting the difficulty of activities, changing the dynamics of the class, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Balancing the need for <strong>highly communicative classes<\/strong> (essential to the King\u2019s Training methodology) with the wish to structure programmes towards <strong>progress evaluations<\/strong>. We talked about a number of ways to adapt programmes to student needs within the guidelines of the KT approach.<\/li>\n<li>Using English language <strong>coursebooks<\/strong> to fit the individual needs of students, keeping in mind the practical needs of the vast majority in developing effective communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>How to teach \u2018traditional\u2019 aspects of language like <strong>grammar in a dynamic, communicative way<\/strong> that adult learners respond to.<\/li>\n<li>Using learner\u2019s own opinions, experiences and communicative output as the material of the class. To make the learning <strong>as relevant as possible<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<li>Getting <strong>quality feedback from students<\/strong> on their learning experience to help shape the programme appropriately and ensure they are <strong>involved in the planning of their own learning.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>How to help learners <strong>remember new language<\/strong> through recycling and <strong>mnemonic techniques<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>How to <strong>correct student errors<\/strong> in such a way as to optimise learning.<\/li>\n<li>Modern attitudes towards old-fashioned teaching techniques like <strong>drilling<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When to teach <strong>pronunciation<\/strong>, and when not to.<\/li>\n<li>Using the students\u2019 <strong>first language<\/strong> and <strong>translation<\/strong> in class.<\/li>\n<li>The demands of \u2018general\u2019 <strong>EFL (English as a Foreign Language)<\/strong> classes vs the more specific features of <strong>ESP (English for Special Purposes)<\/strong> classes commonly found in \u2018business\u2019 classes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, in just a few hours we talked around some really vital issues to our particular corner of the field of education and came up with a lot of practical ideas which will help to maintain and improve our service over the years to come.\u00a0 The next forum is planned for the beginning of June and we\u2019re all really looking forward to restarting the debate!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La semana pasada en King\u00b4s Training tuvimos las primeras dos sesiones de nuestro programa complementario de formaci\u00f3n para profesores, the Teacher Forums.
