I look forward to it!

Spring is nearly here! March is a time for better weather, blooming trees, hope and looking forward. ‘To look forward’ is used figuratively in English to refer to something in the future we are anticipating with enthusiasm: “I am looking forward to the summer”, “I am really looking forward to going to the beach”. It’s used in the simple present for a bit more formality: “I look forward to seeing you at the conference”. Its opposite is ‘to dread’ something, but I think we can leave that for things far in the future!

Something to look forward to this month is International Women’s Day on the 8th. Why not click on the image below for more March dates, language, facts and activities?
