Last week was carnival week at my daughter’s school, which after days of crazy hair, mismatched socks and pyjamas finally ended in dressing up as the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. I’m glad it’s not carnival every week 🙂
Anyway, this got me thinking about social events and the wide variety of reasons we human beings have for getting together, sometimes for fun, sometimes for duty, but always in a way which shows how fundamental human contact and communication continues to be in this digital, virtual age.
