UK elections
Rishi Sunak has surprised the UK by calling a general election for July 4. Most people thought he would wait longer in the hope that the economy would recover, and some are interpreting his early call as a recognition that there isn’t much good news on the horizon! Forecasts are for a comfortable victory for the current opposition, the Labour Party, but in these unstable and fragmented times who knows what could happen.
