‘Screen time‘ has become a buzz-phrase for the twenty-first century. There are blogs and press articles everywhere on the subject. My daughter came home from school yesterday with a council pamphlet on healthy living, including limiting screen time to two hours per day. So, are screens unhealthy? I suppose it’s like diet: too much of anything is a bad thing and you should really be selective about what you consume. These days our relationship with screens is a complicated thing and the effect they can have ranges from the positively damaging right through to the highly educational.
